1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of NorthWestWasteSolutions Ltd's services. By booking our services, you agree to these terms in full.
2. Definitions
- "Company" refers to NorthWestWasteSolutions Ltd
- "Customer" refers to the person or organisation booking our services
- "Services" refers to waste removal, skip hire, and related services
- "Waste" refers to materials to be collected and disposed of
3. Booking and Confirmation
Bookings can be made by phone, email, or through our website. A booking is confirmed when we provide written or verbal confirmation. We reserve the right to refuse any booking at our discretion.
4. Pricing and Payment
- All prices quoted are inclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated
- Payment is due upon completion of service unless alternative arrangements have been agreed
- Commercial accounts may be eligible for invoicing with net 30-day terms
- We accept card payments, bank transfers, and cash
- Late payment may incur interest at 4% above base rate
5. Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations made 24+ hours before scheduled service: No charge
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours: 50% of quoted price may apply
- No-shows or same-day cancellations: Full charge may apply
- Skip hire cancellations after delivery: Collection charge applies
6. Customer Responsibilities
The Customer agrees to:
- Provide accurate information about the waste to be collected
- Ensure safe and legal access for our vehicles and staff
- Not include prohibited items without prior agreement
- Comply with all relevant waste regulations
- Obtain any necessary permits for skip placement on public highways
7. Prohibited Items
The following items cannot be accepted without prior arrangement and may incur additional charges:
- Asbestos and asbestos-containing materials
- Hazardous chemicals and solvents
- Gas cylinders and pressurised containers
- Clinical or medical waste
- Batteries and electrical items (WEEE)
- Tyres
- Fridges, freezers, and air conditioning units
8. Skip Hire Terms
- Skips remain our property at all times
- Waste must not exceed the skip rim level
- Skips must not be moved once positioned
- Customer is responsible for skip security during hire period
- Standard hire period is 14 days unless otherwise agreed
- Overloading or prohibited items may result in additional charges
9. Liability
- We carry public liability insurance up to £5 million
- We are not liable for damage caused by Customer's failure to disclose access issues or hazards
- Our liability is limited to the value of the services provided
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses
10. Environmental Compliance
We are a registered upper-tier waste carrier with the Environment Agency. All waste is disposed of at licensed facilities. We provide Waste Transfer Notes for commercial customers as required by law.
11. Data Protection
We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws including GDPR.
12. Complaints
If you are dissatisfied with our service, please contact us within 7 days. We aim to resolve all complaints within 14 working days. Contact us at complaints@northwestwastesolutions.com.
13. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, traffic incidents, vehicle breakdowns, or industrial action.
14. Governing Law
These terms are governed by English law. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
