Construction Waste Pricing Guide
Pricing depends on waste type and volume. Heavy materials (rubble, concrete) cost more than light mixed waste. Here's a rough guide:
All prices include labour, loading, transport, and disposal. Plasterboard and hazardous waste may incur additional charges due to specialist processing.

Real Builder Scenarios
Here's how we help with different types of construction and renovation work:
Kitchen Renovation (4-week job)
"I'm a kitchen fitter. I need waste cleared every week or twice weekly. Old cabinets, packaging, offcuts, and installation waste."
Solution: Weekly collection at £150-200 per load. We come Friday afternoon, load old units + packaging + offcuts. You start fresh Monday. Trade account: set up automatic Friday collections at £700/month.
Bathroom Renovation (small)
"I'm replacing a bathroom. Tiles, old suite, pipes, wood, drywall, rubble. Single collection needed."
Solution: One collection, ~£180-250 depending on density (tiles/rubble = heavier). Call us when you're done, we come same day if before 12pm. Includes loading, transport, recycling.
Full House Refurbishment (8 weeks)
"Strip-out phase generates tons of debris — old carpets, flooring, walls, plaster. Build phase generates timber, drywall offcuts, packaging. Two phases of major waste."
Solution: Trade account with flex scheduling. 2-3 collections during strip-out (£200-300 each), 2-3 during build (£150-200 each). Plasterboard separated automatically. Total project waste cost: ~£1,300-1,800.
Roofing Project
"I remove old tiles, battens, felt, lead flashing. A lot of heavy tile waste plus timber offcuts."
Solution: Heavy load collection, ~£250-350 for typical semi detached house. Tiles are dense but our equipment handles them. We've worked with dozens of roofers across the North West.
Extension Build (ongoing 3 months)
"Excavation waste, concrete shuttering, timber offcuts, packaging — constantly generating rubble throughout the build."
Solution: Scheduled twice-weekly collections at £180-220 each, or set up trade account for predictable costs. Soil/concrete separated from timber for efficient recycling. Your site stays clean weekly.

Professional Advice From Builders' Waste Teams
After years working with contractors and tradespeople, here's what we recommend:
- • Separate waste streams from day one — Mixed waste costs more to dispose of. Separate rubble, timber, drywall, and general waste upfront
- • Plan collections around your schedule — Don't let waste pile up. Weekly collections keep your site safe and organized
- • Get a trade account if you do regular work — Monthly invoicing, priority booking, and 20-30% savings vs one-off collections
- • Plasterboard MUST be separate — It's legal requirement. We handle it, but mixed plasterboard/general waste means extra costs
- • Check your quotation is all-in — Our quotes include labour, loading, transport, AND disposal. No surprise fees when we collect

Construction Waste FAQs
Is it cheaper than hiring a skip?
For many jobs, yes. You don't need a permit, you don't lose driveway or road space, and we load everything for you. For large, ongoing projects a skip may still make sense — and we offer those too. We'll always recommend the most cost-effective option.
Can you collect from restricted-access sites?
Yes. We regularly work on sites with narrow access, pedestrian zones, and multi-storey buildings. If there are specific access restrictions, let us know when booking and we'll plan accordingly.
Do you take plasterboard separately?
Yes. Plasterboard can't be mixed with general waste in landfill (it releases hydrogen sulphide). We collect it separately and take it to specialist recycling facilities. There may be a small surcharge for plasterboard-only loads.
What about asbestos?
We don't handle asbestos removal (that requires specialist licensed contractors). However, once asbestos has been professionally removed and double-bagged, we can arrange its transport to a licensed disposal facility. Contact us to discuss.
Can I set up regular collections for an ongoing project?
Absolutely — that's exactly what our trade accounts are for. We can schedule weekly, twice-weekly, or as-needed collections. Just tell us your project timeline and we'll work around it. Monthly invoicing keeps your paperwork simple.
Do you provide Waste Transfer Notes?
Yes, every time. As a licensed waste carrier, we provide Waste Transfer Notes for all commercial collections. These are essential for your duty of care obligations under the Environmental Protection Act. We can also provide our waste carrier licence details for your records.
